Together with its local partner SOPRAD, SEEF has set up a women's cooperation for the manufacturing and sale of terracotta pots.
100 women under 30 years old, all from batwa ethnic minority, have been selected as participants to the programme. After training by senior village women, they will be involved in the fabrication, commercialization and management of the cooperation.
Each participant is receiving from SEEF 50% extra revenue on each item sold.
That revenue will be saved in the cooperation for the future development of the village, starting with sustainable agriculture and education.
