An emancipation programme at Matara primary school I and II, hosting a Batwa ethnic minority, consisting of three parts.

1. Rehabilitation of the Matara school infrastructure

 

2. Set up of vocational training and income-generating activities for a solidarity school fund :

  • A school farm (hutch and piggery)

  • An ecological garden (vegetable garden and fruit tree nursery)

  • A cutting and sewing studio

  • A micro soap factory

3. Creation of a true culture of social ecology, based on responsible consumption: zero kilometer, zero plastic, zero waste, zero packaging, cultural anchoring of traditions, preservation and stimulation of local handicrafts.
