Where ? Kangu - Greater Tshela region (DRC)
What ? A cooperation of deprived 50 widows, doing good for future generations by:
1. Maintaining the forest and land in good shape
2. Revalorising tradition by organic handcraft, as a barrier to imported mass crap
3. Transmitting their expertise to student girls they foster
4. Making an additional living for themselves and the widow community
Our role ?
1. Revalorisation of circular economy : natural materials from the forest are upcycled
2. Support local social/ecological awareness in the village and surroundings : maintaining the forest and land in good shape, by cutting and evacuating dead leaves and branches.
3. Set up pilot phase with 12 participants to a structural members cooperation : a training hub and extra income generator.
